As a secular humanist and an Alabamian, I humbly request that everyone who happens to read this message, support the Southern Poverty Law Center with a financial contribution, if you can afford it. They are leading the way in opposing the Nations’ harshest anti-immigrant law yet to be passed in the United States.

NPR just reported that Governor Robert Bentley—the same evangelical Governor who alienated non-Christians during his inauguration and later slapped non-religious Alabama citizens up side the head with a feeble apology—singed into law the Nation’s harshest anti-immigrant law, surpassing the unconstitutionality of many of Arizona’s laws that have recently been struck down by the courts.

I implore all my fellow human beings on this earth, no matter where you may live, please send the Southern Poverty Law Center a contribution, providing this action will not affect your own welfare in a negative way.
